European integration is the main priority of Moldova's foreign policy - Nicu Popescu.
The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova said this at a press conference, noting that in recent months it was possible to unblock and diversify cooperation with the EU, to meet with half of the EU colleagues. “We have a very active dialogue with Romania, with which we will implement a number of very ambitious joint projects,” the head of Moldovan diplomacy said. He called the dialogue with Ukraine positive and dynamic, with which, among other things, work is underway to find solutions, including for the preservation of the Dniester. “We have a calm, pragmatic dialogue with the Russian Federation, and we want to develop relations through this prism. Our relations with other partners, with the EU countries, with the USA are also developing successfully, ” Nicu Popescu said. According to him, diplomacy should bring concrete benefits to citizens, and therefore MFAEI is actively promoting a number of initiatives, including seeking to reduce roaming tariffs with a large number of EU and neighboring countries. “Moldova wants much more from its relations with the European Union, and intends to achieve these goals,” the head of the Moldovan diplomacy said. Speaking about Moldova's cooperation with the EU, he noted that the work is going on at two levels. “The first is the Eastern Partnership, through which we confirm our attachment to the EU and receive EU funding. We are promoting all these things, but at the same time Moldova has big ambitions in comparison with other states. We want much more from our relations with the EU, so we intend to achieve these goals without linking these things to the Eastern Partnership summit. We want to develop a dialogue in the field of energy, modernization of Moldova's infrastructure, etc., ”said the head of the MFAEI.// 30.11.2021 — InfoMarket
