Moldova will purchase 700 thousand doses of Pfaizer vaccine, its delivery is expected by the end of this year.
The government at a meeting on Wednesday approved a draft decree approving the documentation that will allow the purchase of a batch of Pfaizer vaccine through direct negotiations with the manufacturer. Currently, the Ministry of Health is negotiating with the manufacturer and, as expected, the vaccine will arrive in Moldova in the III-IV quarter of 2021. According to the acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi, this batch of Pfaizer will allow delivering two doses of the vaccine to 350 thousand citizens. At the same time, he stressed that the country's authorities must ensure a continuous process of vaccination of citizens, since, according to WHO estimates, the pandemic will continue at least until March 2023. Revaccination will be required every 8-10 months. // 19.05.2021 — InfoMarket
