Lithuania to deepen and expand trade, economic and investment cooperation with Moldova and interact in various fields, especially in the IT, transport, and food sectors.
This was stated by Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda after a meeting in Chisinau with Moldovan President Maia Sandu in a tete-a-tete format, as well as in an expanded format. At the same time, he gave an example of Lithuania's successful investments in the banking sector of Moldova through Invalda INVL. This leading asset management group in the Baltic states, along with the EBRD and Horizon Capital, is part of an international consortium of investors, which is the largest shareholder of Moldova Agroindbank. Gitanas Nauseda expressed his hope for an increase in investments in Lithuania by companies from Moldova, and also noted the high quality of Moldovan wines. The President of Lithuania noted his country's readiness to continue supporting reforms in Moldova and its pro-European course, sharing experience in various fields, including the banking sector, food security, environmental protection, combating hybrid risks and disinformation, etc. It should be noted that this is the first visit of a Lithuanian head of state to our country over the past 6 years. // 14.05.2021 - InfoMarket
