
The volume of Moldovan exports to Romania in January-September 2023 amounted to $1 billion 031.5 million, an increase of 10.6% compared to the same period in 2022.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the share of supplies of domestic goods to Romania in the total volume of Moldovan exports increased during the specified period from 28.48% to 34.21%. At the same time, the volume of imports from Romania for 9 months of 2023, compared to the same period of the previous year, decreased by 13.2% - to $984.7 million, and its share in total Moldovan imports decreased from 16.85% to 15.36%. As a result, the positive balance of trade between Moldova and Romania in January-September 2023 amounted to $46.8 million against a negative balance of $201.1 million for the same period last year. Romania based on the results of 9 months of 2023 was Moldova's largest trading partner in terms of exports, purchasing the most Moldovan products in the specified period in monetary terms.
