The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported that exports of domestic goods in 9 months of 2023 amounted to $2 billion 068.5 million (68.6% of the total volume), down 10.2%, compared to the same period of the previous year. At the same time, re-exports of foreign goods (after substantial processing and classic re-exports) in January-September 2023 totaled $946.4 million (31.4% of the total), down 2.8% from the same period in 2022. At the same time, re-export of goods after processing (clothing, shoes, shoe parts, chairs, electrical wiring and cables, other products for the automotive industry, shelled nuts, chairs and other furniture, suitcases, textile products, toys, etc.) amounted to 13.9 % in total exports, and classic re-export of foreign goods (gasoline, diesel fuel, vehicles, nuts, medicines, sunflower oil, sunflower seeds, cigarettes, wine distillates, whiskey, gin, vodka, liqueurs, beer, fabrics, knitwear, essential oils, perfumes and cosmetics, travel and sports bags, backpacks, wrist and other watches, corn) – 17.5%. According to the NBS, motor transport was most often used to export goods abroad during the specified period - 81.4% of the total volume, followed by sea transport - 13.4%, railway - 3%, air - 1.1%, fixed transport installations (1.1%). In general, Moldovan exports to the EU countries in January-September 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, decreased by 0.8% - to $1 billion 925.9 million, to the CIS countries - decreased by 0.9% - to $720.5 million, and to other countries - decreased by 39.5% - to $368.4 million. The share of EU countries in the total volume of Moldovan exports during the specified period increased from 59.22% to 63.88%, the share of CIS countries – increased from 22.19% to 23.9%, and the share of countries outside the EU and CIS decreased from 18.59% to 12.22%. According to the NBS, the main destination countries of Moldovan exports in the specified period of this year were: Romania (34.2% of total Moldovan exports), Ukraine (16.3%), Italy (6.7%), Germany (5.4 %), Czech Republic (3.8%), Russia (3.6%), Turkey (3.5%), Poland (3%), Belarus (2.2%), Bulgaria (1.8%), Spain (1.4%), USA and Hungary (1.2% each), the Netherlands, Kazakhstan and France (1.1% each), UK (1%), Lebanon (0.9%), Greece, Cyprus and Switzerland (0.8% each). Moreover, in 9 months of 2023, relative to the same period in 2022, Moldova increased exports to Romania (+10.5%), the Czech Republic (+53.3%), Kazakhstan (2.3 times), Spain (1. 7 times), Belarus (+20.9%), Lebanon (1.7 times), Cyprus (1.8 times), Egypt (2.4 times), USA (+25.1%) , Kyrgyzstan (4 times), UAE (2.9 times), Lithuania (+44.9%), Croatia (2.5 times), Indonesia (14.2 times), Latvia (1.9 times), Malaysia (16.6 times), Armenia (1.8 times), Morocco (6.9 times), Azerbaijan (1.8 times), Libya (35.9 times). At the same time, during this period, Moldova reduced exports to Turkey (-60.2%), Bulgaria (-58.4%), Italy (-22.1%), Russia (-31.1%), Switzerland ( -60.9%), Great Britain (-41%), Netherlands (-37.9%), Germany (-8.8%), Portugal (-82.4%), Hungary (-10.7%), Jordan (-86.2%), Iraq (-44.8), Belgium (-20.2%), Slovakia (-17.6%), Poland (-2.2%), Canada (-20.2 %).
