The National Bureau of Statistics informed that, at the same time, traditionally, most goods were imported into the country by road - 76.5% of the total. Sea transport accounted for 6.8% of total imports, rail transport - 4.9%, air transport - 1.6%, self-propelled imports - 0.5%, postal items - 0.1%, and the share of fixed transport installations (gas pipelines, power grids) - 9.6% of total imports. In particular, the volume of imports to Moldova of products from EU countries for 6 months in 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, increased by 29% - up to $1 billion 997.4 million, from the CIS countries - increased by 55% - up to $1 billion 151.3 million. Import of goods from other countries increased by 22.9% - up to $1 billion 198.3 million. The share of EU countries in the total volume of Moldovan imports decreased from 47.41% to 45.95%, the share of CIS countries increased from 22.74% to 26.48%, and the share other states - decreased from 29.85% to 27.57%.
