According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the share of supplies of domestic goods to Romania in the total volume of Moldovan exports during the mentioned period increased from 27.44% to 31.51%. At the same time, the volume of imports from Romania in 4 months of 2022, relative to the previous year, increased by 48.3% - up to $385.6 million, and its share in the total Moldovan import increased from 12.3% to 13.73%. As a result, in January-April 2022, Moldova had a positive trade balance with Romania of $74.2 million against a negative balance of $12.2 million in the same period last year. In January-April 2022, Romania was Moldova's largest trade partner by exports, purchasing the most Moldovan products in the specified period.
