Sea transport accounted for 5.2% of total imports, rail - 4.4%, air - 1.5%, self-propelled imports - 0.4%, postal items - 0.1%, and the share of fixed transport installations (gas pipelines, power grids) - 12.8% of total imports. In particular, the volume of imports to Moldova of products from EU countries for 4 months of 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, increased by 23.6% - up to $ 1 billion 241.8 million, from the CIS countries - increased by 1.7 times - up to $ 835.7 million. Import of goods from other countries increased by 18.3% - up to $730.9 million. The share of EU countries in the total volume of Moldovan imports decreased from 47.56% to 44.22%, the share of CIS countries increased from 23.21% to 29.76%, and the share other states - decreased from 29.23% to 26.03%. The TOP countries that accounted for the largest volumes of Moldovan imports in January-April 2022 included: Russia (19.3% of total imports), Romania (13.7%), China (8.9%), Turkey and Germany (6.8% each), Italy (5.3%), Poland (3.3%), France (2.7%), Hungary (2.3%), USA (1.9%), India (1.8%), Czech Republic, Spain and Belarus (1.4% each), Bulgaria (1.3%), Austria and the Netherlands (1% each), United Kingdom and South Korea (0.7% each). Herewith, according to the NBS, for 4 months in 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, imports to Moldova increased from Russia (by 2.1 times), Romania (+48.3%), Ukraine (+24.3%), Turkey (+22, 1%), India (3.2 times), Hungary (+48%), USA (1.6 times), China (+5.7%), France (+20.1%), Bulgaria (+ 50.8%), Poland (+12.6%), Italy (+7.4%), Germany (+5.4%), Spain (+25.5%), South Korea (+52.5% ), Azerbaijan (16.1 times), the Netherlands (+28.8%), Slovakia (+50.9%), Serbia (+50.5%), Czech Republic (+11.9%), Turkmenistan (in 18.5 times), Israel (1.8 times), Pakistan (1.8 times), Greece (+32.2%), Lithuania (1.9 times), Sweden (+32%), Uzbekistan (1.6 times), Kyrgyzstan (59.1 times), Great Britain (+12%), Denmark (+42.2%). Meanwhile, volumes of imports to Moldova decreased from Japan (-23.9%), Vietnam (-23.3%), Austria (-8.8%), Malaysia (-25.1%), Morocco (- 43.5%).
