The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported that the export of domestic goods for 3 months of 2022 amounted to $867.5 million (81.6% of the total), having increased by 1.7 times compared to the same period of the previous year. At the same time, the re-export of goods in January-March this year amounted to $195.3 million (18.4% of the total), which is 12.9% more than in the same period in 2021. At the same time, the re-export of goods after processing (clothing, footwear, shoe parts, chairs, electrical wiring and cable, other products for the automotive industry, shelled nuts, chairs and other furniture, suitcases, textile products, toys, etc.) accounted for 11.9% of total exports, while the classic re-export of foreign goods (drugs, cigarettes, wine distillates, whiskey , gin, vodka, liqueurs, beer, fuel, fabrics, knitwear, essential oils, perfumes and cosmetics, vehicles, furniture, etc.) - 6.5%. According to the NBS, for the export of goods abroad in the specified period, road transport was most often used - 75.3% of the total, followed by sea transport - 15.4%, railway - 8.6%, air - 0.7%. In general, Moldovan exports to the EU countries in the first quarter of 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, increased 1.6 times - up to $713.5 million, to the CIS countries - decreased by 8.4% - to $102 .6 million, and to other countries it increased by 1.9 times - up to $246.7 million. The share of EU countries in the total volume of Moldovan exports over the specified period increased from 64.22% to 67.13%, the share of CIS countries decreased from 16.36% to 9.65%, while the share of other countries increased from 19.43% to 23.21%. According to the NBS, the main destination countries for Moldovan exports in the reporting period were: Romania (31.7% of total Moldovan exports), Turkey (11.5%), Italy (11.1%), Germany (5.9%) , Russia (5.4%), Bulgaria (4.6%), Switzerland (3.3%), Poland (2.8%), Ukraine (2.4%), Czech Republic (2.2%), United Kingdom (2.1%), Greece (1.5%), Belarus (1.4%), Hungary (1.3%), France (1.2%), the Netherlands and Spain (1.1% each), USA (0.9%), Cyprus and Lebanon (0.8% each).
