As InfoMarket was informed at the National Bureau of Statistics, at the same time, traditionally, most goods were imported into the country by road - 73.2% of the total. Rail transport accounted for 4.5% of imports, maritime transport 3.1%, air transport 1.8%, self-propelled imports 0.5%, mail 0.1%, and fixed transport installations (gas pipelines, power grids) - 16.8% of total imports. In particular, the volume of imports to Moldova of products from EU countries for 2 months in 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, increased by 26.5% - up to $528.7 million, from the CIS countries - increased 2 times - up to $435.2 million. Import of goods from other countries increased by 15% - up to $316.4 million. The share of the EU countries in the total volume of Moldovan imports decreased from 46.23% to 41.75%, the share of the CIS countries increased from 23.89% to 33.73%, and the share of other states decreased from 29 .87% to 24.52%. The TOP countries that accounted for the largest volumes of Moldovan imports in January-February 2022 included: Russia (24.3% of total imports), Romania (13.1%), China (9.9%), Germany and Ukraine (6.6% each), Turkey (6.1%), Italy (5.2%), Poland (3.1%), France (2.5%), Hungary (2.4%), Belarus (1.8%), Spain and the Czech Republic (1.4% each), USA (1.3%), Bulgaria (1%), Austria and the Netherlands (0.9% each), India and South Korea (0.8% each), Japan (0.7%). Herewith, according to the NBS, while for 2 months in 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, imports to Moldova from Russia (by 2.6 times), Romania (+46.2%), Germany (+17.6%), China (+10.9%), Hungary (+52.1%), Turkey (+13.6%), Italy (+15.4%), Ukraine (+11.4%), USA (1.6 times), Belarus (+33.2%), Spain (+45.7%), Bulgaria (1.7 times), South Korea (1.8 times), Uzbekistan (5.4 times), France (+13.1%), India (+51.1%), the Netherlands (+32.2%), Poland (+7.4%), Turkmenistan (87.9 times), Lithuania (2.5 times), Kyrgyzstan (44.8 times), Iran (5.4 times), Slovakia (+26%), Sweden (+36%), Azerbaijan (13.1 times), Greece (+30.6%), UAE (by 2.6 times).
