
Export of Moldovan goods to Russia for 11 months of 2021, compared to the same period in 2020, increased by 26.7% to $251 million.
As the National Bureau of Statistics told InfoMarket, at the same time, the supply of Russian products to Moldova in January-November 2021, compared to the same period of the previous year, increased by 1.7 times - up to $899.6 million. Herewith, the share of the Russian Federation in the total volume of Moldovan exports increased over the specified period from 8.81% to 8.9%, and in imports it increased from 10.95% to 14.01%. According to the results of January-November 2021, Russia took 3rd place in the list of the largest partners of Moldova in terms of purchases of Moldovan products (after Romania and Turkey), but was the leader in terms of supplies of products to the Republic of Moldova. Negative trade balance of Moldova with Russia for 11 months in 2021 amounted to $648.6 million, an increase of 1.9 times compared to the same period in 2020.
