
Moldovan commodity exports to Russia increased for 10 months of 2021 by 23.9% to $221.9 million compared to the same period in 2020.
As the National Bureau of Statistics informed, at the same time, the supply of Russian goods to Moldova in January-October, 2021 increased 1.6 times to $751.6 million compared to the same period of the previous year. At the same time, the share of Russia in total Moldovan exports for the period increased from 9.01% to 9.03%, and in imports - increased from 10.93% to 13.14%. In January-October 2021, Russia ranked 3rd among the largest partners of Moldova in terms of purchases of Moldovan products (after Romania and Turkey), but was the leader in terms of supply of products to Moldova. Moldova's negative trade balance with the Russian Federation for 10 months of 2021 was $529.5 million, having increased of 1.8 times, compared to the same period of 2020.
