Railway transport accounted for 4.7% of total imports, sea transport - 3.3%, air transport - 2.4%, self-propelled imports - 0.6%, postal items - 0.2%, and the share of fixed transport installations (gas pipelines, power grids) - 3.8% of total imports. In particular, the volume of imports to Moldova of products from EU countries for 10 months 2021, in comparison with the same period of 2020, increased by 30.6% - to $ 2 billion 589 million, from the CIS countries - increased by 34.6% - to $ 1 billion 435.1 million. Import of goods from other states increased by 32.7% - to $ 1 billion 694.8 million.The share of EU countries in the total volume of Moldovan imports decreased from 45.83% to 45.27%, the share of CIS countries - increased from 24.65% to 25.09% , while the share of other states increased from 29.52% to 29.63%. The TOP countries, which accounted for the largest volumes of Moldovan imports in January-October 2021, included: Russia (13.1% of total imports), Romania (12%), China (11.6%), Ukraine ( 9.4%), Germany (7.8%), Turkey (7.5%), Italy (6.4%), Poland (3.7%), France (2.5%), Belarus (2% ), Hungary (1.8%), Czech Republic (1.6%), USA and Austria (1.5% each), Spain (1.3%), Bulgaria (1.2%), Netherlands (1.1%), Japan and Great Britain (0.9% each).
