
The volume of Moldovan exports in January-October 2021 amounted to $ 2 billion 455.6 million, an increase of 23.6% compared to the same period in 2020.
As InfoMarket agency was informed in the National Bureau of Statistics, the export of domestic goods for 10 months of 2021 amounted to $ 1 billion 864.9 million (75.9% of the total), an increase of 22.8% compared to the same period last year. At the same time, the re-export of goods in January-October 2021 amounted to $ 590.7 million (24.1% of the total), which is 26.3% more than in the same period in 2020. Herewith, the re-export of goods after processing (clothes, shoes, shoe parts, armchairs, electrical wiring and cables, other products for the automotive industry, peeled nuts, chairs and other furniture, suitcases, textiles, toys, etc.) accounted for 16.2% of total exports, and the classic re-export of foreign goods (medicines, cigarettes, wine distillates, whiskey, gin, vodka, liqueurs, beer, fuel, textiles, knitwear, essential oils, perfumery and cosmetics, vehicles, furniture, etc.) - 7.9%. According to the NBS, for the export of goods abroad in this period, motor transport was most often used - 86.3% of the total volume, followed by sea transport - 8.1%, rail - 4.4%, air - 1.2%. In general, Moldovan exports to the EU countries for 10 months of 2021, in comparison with the same period of 2020, increased by 14% - to $ 1 billion 507.2 million, to the CIS countries - increased by 22% - to $ 372.3 million, and to other countries - increased by 1.6 times - up to $ 576.1 million. The share of EU countries in the total volume of Moldovan exports for the specified period decreased from 66.56% to 61.38%, the share of CIS countries decreased from 15.36% to 15.16%, and the share of other countries increased from 18.08% to 23.46%. According to the NBS, the main countries of destination for Moldovan exports in the reporting period were: Romania (26.6% of total Moldovan exports), Turkey (9.7%), Russia (9%), Germany (8.5%), Italy (7.8%), Poland (3.6%), Switzerland (3.3%), Ukraine (3%), Czech Republic (2.7%), Bulgaria (2.4%), Belarus (2.2 %), Great Britain (2.1%), Hungary (1.4%), Netherlands and Spain (1.2% each), Greece and France (1.1% each), USA (1%), Lebanon (0.9%).
