
The volume of Moldovan exports to Romania in 10 months of 2021 amounted to $653.7 million, up 15.6% compared to the same period of 2020.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the share of supplies of domestic goods to Romania in the total volume of Moldovan exports during the mentioned period decreased from 28.46% to 26.62%. At the same time, the volume of imports from Romania in 10 months of 2021, compared to the same period of the previous year, increased by 33.9% - up to $687.9 million, and its share in the total Moldovan import increased from 11.87% to 12.03%. As a result, the negative trade balance of Moldova with Romania in January-October 2021 made $34.2 million against the positive balance of $51.8 million in the same period a year earlier. Over 10 months in 2021, Romania was Moldova's largest trade partner in terms of exports, while buying the most Moldovan products in the mentioned period.
