According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the share of deliveries of domestic goods to Romania in the total volume of Moldovan exports increased over the specified period from 24.61% to 27.83%. At the same time, the volume of imports from Romania for 5 months of 2021, relative to the same period of the previous year, increased by 35.1% - to $334.3 million, and its share in the total Moldovan imports decreased from 12.5% to 12.49%. As a result, Moldova's negative trade balance with Romania in January-May 2021 amounted to $26.8 million against $6.2 million in the same period a year earlier (up 4.3 times).
