
The Ministry of Agriculture and FAO will expand cooperation
This was discussed during a meeting that the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Ludmila Catlabuga held with representatives of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to strengthen the partnership and identify priorities for the near future. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, during the meeting, the head of the department thanked FAO for its ongoing support, emphasizing the importance of continuing the initiatives launched, and asked for support for the harmonization of national legislation with EU standards. Another topic of the meeting was the development of agricultural chambers, the necessary tools to ensure effective communication between authorities, farmers and development partners. Ludmila Catlabuga also emphasized the need for FAO support for the implementation of digitalization solutions, including the development of agricultural registers. Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and FAO also discussed the organization of high-level meetings within the framework of relevant international conferences in order to identify new opportunities to support Moldovan agriculture. // 02.12.2024 – InfoMarket.
