
Moldova: 6 million euros will be invested with EU support to implement 7 projects to improve educational infrastructure and promote advanced research in agriculture.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry announced this, noting that after expanding the “Investment in Infrastructure” component within the framework of the “Fruit Garden of Moldova” (Livada Moldovei) project, the Ministry of Agriculture will accelerate innovation and increase efficiency in this area. The 7 projects selected for funding are necessary to improve the efficiency of the sector and will be implemented in the following institutions: National Center for Research and Production of Seeds - “Development and modernization of agricultural infrastructure to improve the sustainability and efficiency of field crop seed production”; Scientific and Practical Institute of Horticulture and Food Technologies - “Development of the material and technical base for the modernization of fruit tree nurseries in Moldova based on virus-free planting material”; Scientific and Practical Institute of Biotechnology in Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine – “Development of the scientific and innovative base of the animal husbandry industry and veterinary service through the creation of a multifunctional laboratory”; Institute of Genetics, Physiology and Plant Protection – “Improving the infrastructure of the educational and scientific process”; Bratuseni College of Veterinary Medicine and Agrarian Economics – “Creation of a Training and Consulting Center in the field of animal veterinary medicine”; Soroca Agricultural Technical College - “Modernization and equipment of the infrastructure of the Didactic and Methodological Center of Agricultural Mechanics”; Technical University of Moldova – “Improving the infrastructure of the educational and research process in agriculture and veterinary medicine”. // 16.04.2024 - InfoMarket.
