The main export markets were Romania, Poland, Czech Republic, USA and China. Such data from the National Bureau of Vine and Wine was presented at the 7th National Conference of the Wine Industry on the topic “Market Growth Strategies and Strategic Prospects for Moldovan Wine.” The event was organized by the National Bureau of Vine and Wine jointly with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry with the support of strategic partner USAID Moldova through the Moldova Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Project. According to the National Bureau of Vine and Wine, in the overall structure of exports in physical terms, the share of still wines in 2023 was 83%, divins/distillates - 11%, liqueur wines - 4%, sparkling wines - 2%. At the same time, in the overall structure of exports in monetary terms, the share of still wines in 2023 was 65%, divins/distillates - 26%, liqueur wines - 5%, sparkling wines - 4%. Moldova exported a total of 109.5 million liters of wine in 2023 (+12.3% by 2022) for $141.1 million (+12.3%). In particular, 41.3 million liters of bottled wine (-1%) for $95.4 million (+8.5%) were supplied, and 68.2 million liters of bulk wine (+22.2%) for $45.7 million (+21.1%). Herewith, in 2023, Moldova exported divins/distillates in the amount of 13.5 million liters of absolute alcohol (+104%) for $51 million (+75%). Meanwhile, bottled divin and brandy supplied 2.4 million liters of absolute alcohol (+45%) for $20.6 million (+38%), and in bulk - 11.1 million liters of absolute alcohol (+124%) for $30.4 million (+113%). According to the NBVW, in monetary terms, the largest volumes of Moldovan wine and cognac products in 2023 were supplied to European countries - $109.2 million (+36%), CIS - $54.7 million (+7%), America - $12.2 million (+84%), Asia - $11.9 million (-4%). Deliveries to African countries amounted to $3.8 million (-5%), Oceania - $0.26 million (-13%). In general, the export of Moldovan wine and cognac products in 2023 was carried out to 68 countries by 126 exporters, and approximately half of the total revenue came from the export of bottled wines.
