Moldova received 126 applications for emergency agricultural loans totaling over 40 million lei in the first month after the launch of the program.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry reported this, noting that loans for a maximum amount of 500 thousand lei, guaranteed by the state in the proportion of 90%, can be obtained by micro and small grain farmers. The new instrument can also be accessed by those whose loans are classified as sub-prime, according to the provisions of the National Bank of Moldova. To benefit from this credit, farmers must apply to commercial banks by May 31, 2024. Farmers' requests are reviewed according to individual bank procedures. The request for a state guarantee is also carried out through banks. //29.03.2024 - InfoMarket.
