Farmers affected by drought in 2022 can apply for external humanitarian assistance in the form of diesel fuel.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry has announced the start of accepting applications, which can be submitted until September 29. Recall that farmers who farm on an area of up to 1,500 hectares, who lost 50% or more of their crops in 2022 due to drought, can request help. The amount of assistance per 1 applicant will be calculated by the Agency for Interventions and Payments in Agriculture, based on the total amount of available diesel fuel related to the relevant area per 1 applicant. It is assumed that assistance in the form of diesel fuel will allow farmers to prepare the soil for the 2024 harvest and to harvest the second group of crops. //25.08.2023 – InfoMarket.
