From August 17, Moldova will start accepting applications for direct payments in the livestock sector per head of animal and per kilogram of products.
This was announced by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, noting that this will be the first call for applications for direct payments in the livestock sector. In particular, applications for direct payments per head of animal (cattle, sheep, goats, horses) can be submitted to the Agricultural Intervention and Payments Agency (AIPA) from 17 August to 30 September. At the same time, applications for the second sub-measure - per kilogram of products - are accepted from August 17 to September 15, and payments will be made based on a kilogram of cow's milk. Thus, owners of animals registered in the State Register of Animals can apply for a subsidy to the AIPA territorial offices starting from August 17. As InfoMarket agency reported earlier, within the framework of the first call for direct payments in the livestock sector, according to the order of the Ministry of Agriculture, 150 million lei were allocated. The regulation on the provision of direct payments in the livestock sector from the National Fund for Agriculture and Rural Development stipulates that the direct payment in the livestock sector is provided per head of animal and per kilogram of production and is paid to owners of cattle, sheep, goats and horses. The amount of payments is set depending on the support measure, within the approved limits (from 400 lei for a hen older than 3 months to 5 thousand lei for mares and stallions or heifers older than 12 months and from 3 to 25 lei per kilogram of meat and dairy products and up to 7 lei per kilogram of fish material). The regulation sets out the procedures for filing and reviewing applications for direct payments; applicants' eligibility criteria; the procedure for checking and monitoring the payment of this category of subsidy, etc. // 16.08.2023 — InfoMarket.
