According to preliminary estimates, in January-June 2023, compared with the corresponding period of 2022, the gross crop production in farms of all categories (agricultural enterprises, peasant farms and household farms) increased by 2.7%, and the production livestock - decreased by 1.4%. According to the NBS, in particular, 1,583.3 thousand hectares of farms of all categories were sown for the harvest of 2023, or 15.3 thousand hectares (1%) more than in 2022. The structure of sown areas of agricultural crops by producer categories indicates that the largest share falls on agricultural enterprises, which accounted for 871.3 thousand hectares, or 55% of the total sown area. The share of peasant farms accounted for 418.3 thousand hectares, or 26% of the total crops, and the subsidiary farms of the population - 293.7 thousand hectares, or 19%. Agricultural enterprises still concentrate most of the sown area under sugar beet (92% of the total area sown under this crop), rapeseed and corn for silage and green mass (86% each), barley (77%), wheat (76% ), sunflower (67%), annual grasses (59%), soybeans (56%). At the same time, 97% of the sown areas sown with potatoes are in households and peasant (farmer) farms, 95% - gourds, 93% - sown areas of field vegetables, 83% of the areas sown with perennial grasses, 71% of the areas sown with legumes, 70% area planted with grain corn. According to the NBS, in particular, in January-June 2023, compared to the same period of the previous year, the raising of livestock and poultry (in live weight) in all categories of farms decreased by 2.5%, amounting to 75.3 thousand tons in physical terms. This was the result of a decrease in the production (growing) of livestock and poultry in households by 2.4% - to 29.3 thousand tons, as well as in agricultural enterprises by 2.5% - to 46 thousand tons. The production of cow's milk in the first half of 2023, compared to the same period last year, decreased by 0.6% - to 138.9 thousand tons. Herewith, its production at agricultural enterprises increased by 11.6% - to 20.8 thousand tons, and in households decreased by 2.5% - to 118.1 thousand tons. Egg production in farms of all categories increased by 1.9% - up to 321.2 million pieces as a result of an increase in their production in agricultural enterprises by 4.9% - up to 143.9 million pieces.
