In 2022, Moldovan wine companies won over 4,500 medals at international competitions.

This was reported by USAID Moldova, noting that since 2005 the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has been supporting the Moldovan wine industry, contributing to improving the quality of Moldovan wines and increasing exports. “Year after year, the results of this industry continue to delight and impress us, and 2022 was also rich and productive for Moldovan wine. Thus, in 2022 Moldovan wine companies won over 4,500 medals at international competitions. According to the Global Wine Medal Rating portal, 79 winemakers from Moldova presented 1429 wines to the international jury, winning 4554 medals.
