By August 15, the Agency for Interventions and Payments in Agriculture received 1,834 applications for compensation to farmers for the excise tax on diesel fuel.

This was announced by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, noting that August 15 is the last day for farmers to submit applications for partial compensation of excises on diesel fuel invoiced before June 30. It should be noted that the Regulations on the procedure for distributing funds from the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas for partial compensation of excises on diesel fuel used by agricultural producers in 2022 provide that excises on diesel fuel are compensated as follows: in the amount of 100% of the quota established for 2022, or 2980 lei per ton - for micro-enterprises, small and medium enterprises, classified in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Small and Medium Enterprises; in the amount of 30% of the quota established for 2022, or 894 lei per ton - for other categories of enterprises not specified in the Law on Small and Medium Enterprises; in the amount of 100% of the quota set for 2022, or 2980 lei per ton - for enterprises in the livestock sector.
