The Ministry of Agriculture of Moldova from June 1 to August 2 is holding the eighth call for applications for advance subsidies for start-up projects in 2022.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, agricultural producers who started their economic activity in the agro-food sector for the first time can apply for subsidies based on investment projects. Applications for subsidies can be submitted by young farmers, women farmers and migrants returning to the country, who started a business in agriculture, according to the sub-measures of support listed below: stimulation of investments in equipment and technological re-equipment of livestock farms; stimulation of purchase of pedigree animals and conservation of pedigree gene pool; stimulation of investments in production of vegetables, fruits, essential, aromatic and medicinal plants in an enclosed environment (greenhouses, greenhouses, tunnels, etc.). The Ministry of Agriculture reminded that annually at least 5% of the total amount of the National Fund for Agricultural and Rural Development is allocated to finance start-up projects.
