Micro-, small and medium-sized agricultural producers in Moldova will have easier access to funds from the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas.
This is provided for by amendments to the Law on the Principles of Subsidizing the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas, the introduction of which was approved by the government, having given a positive opinion on the relevant bill developed by the PAS deputy, chairman of the parliamentary commission on agriculture and food industry, Vladimir Bolea. The document is intended to bring the Law on the principles of subsidizing the development of agriculture and rural areas in line with the needs of the national economy and citizens of the country. It provides a number of proposals to facilitate the access of micro-, small and medium-sized agricultural producers to the funds of the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas, which is important for encouraging and stimulating agricultural activities and rural development. The Cabinet of Ministers noted that they support the bill, but they propose to introduce a number of editorial amendments and take into account some new proposals. It is emphasized that financial assistance will contribute to the professionalization of farmers through increased access to knowledge, education and advice on entering the labor market, support the development of research and innovation, including the transfer of applied research technologies, and ensure food security and security in general at the country level. In order to increase the area of irrigated land, it is proposed to facilitate access to subsidies for water users associations for irrigation, procurement of machinery and equipment necessary for the operation and maintenance of irrigation systems. // 24.11.2021 — InfoMarket.
