Farmers will be able to insure not only the quantity of the crop, but also its quality.
The government has approved a number of regulatory changes aimed at subsidized insurance in agriculture. The amendments are designed to protect the interests of farmers and expand the possibilities of insurance of agricultural property. A new list of risks, agricultural property and insurance premiums, which can be subsidized from the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Environment, was also approved. Assets are determined by criteria such as the size of the investment and the importance of certain crops or animal species to the national economy and food security. At the same time, each type of agricultural property is assigned its own specific risks - drought, flood, hail, animal diseases or pathologies, etc. Thus, in case of risk, farmers will be financially insured and will be able to continue their activities. The document also provides for the exclusion of restrictions on the amount of subsidies for different types of crops, as well as the obligation to provide a certificate from the mayor's office on the availability of the insured property. // 04.11.2021 - InfoMarket
