Winemakers of Moldova have set a new record, having won over 1000 medals at international competitions in 9 months of 2021.

The USAID Mission to Moldova reported this, noting that at the recent international wine competition in Bucharest, Vinarium, wine producers from Moldova won 113 medals, including 88 gold medals. Earlier in Canada, at the Selections Mondial des Vin du Canada competition, Moldovan winemakers won 47 gold medals, including 7 Grand Gold medals. At the same time, wineries that receive support from USAID in Moldova have also achieved success, having won 10 medals. In general, to date, Moldovan winemakers have received the largest number of awards, and this confirms the high quality of products at the international level. USAID has supported the Moldovan wine industry since 2005, helping winemakers realize their potential. Over the past years, Moldovan winemakers have managed to enter new markets and receive hundreds of awards at many international exhibitions and competitions. “This success story - the transition from the old system to a promising future with the simultaneous use of new technologies, talent, enthusiasm and dedication of winemakers and their teams - is an open lesson for all Moldovans,” the USAID Mission to Moldova notes. // 25.10.2021 - InfoMarket.
