The bypass road in the village of Slobozia Mare, built as part of a €10.46 million contract funded by the EBRD, will be put into service on July 27
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development announced this, noting that on Monday, July 27, there will be a ceremonial opening of this bypass road, which was built as part of the M3 national highway. As previously reported, the bypass road in Slobozia Mare will take over transit traffic from the M3 national highway, reduce traffic flows in Slobozia Mare and Giurgiulești, cut travel time, and provide a safer and more efficient road infrastructure for residents, carriers, and road users. A consortium of two local companies was declared the winner of the tender for the construction of this road. The total length of this section is 16.59 km; it will connect the road to the customs post in Giurgiulești, on the border with Romania. The total contract value is 10 million 459 thousand 023.27 euros. The project was implemented with support from the EBRD. // 24.07.2026 — InfoMarket.
