
The Moldovan Railways (CFM) has announced a tender for the restoration of a railway section near the village of Valeni in the Cahul district, with an estimated project cost of 53.4 million lei.
Specifically, the state-owned enterprise "Calea Ferată din Moldova" is inviting economic operators to participate in an open tender for rehabilitation work on the 360-meter-long section of railway near Valeni. Consultations will take place until July 21, with bids accepted from July 21 to July 29. According to state-owned enterprise "Calea Ferată din Moldova", the rehabilitation efforts include a series of anti-landslide and erosion protection measures: surface water drainage, reinforcement of the Prut River banks in the landslide zone, construction of a support structure on the deformed section of the railway embankment, and other necessary works.
