
In Moldova, preparations have begun for the construction of a bypass road in the village of Slobozia Mare under an EBRD-financed contract worth a total of 10.46 million euros
This was reported by the State Road Administration, noting that, according to the results of the tender held for the construction of a section of the national road M3 bypassing the village of Slobozia Mare, its winner was an association of two local companies that will carry out the relevant construction work. The main goal of the project is to build a modern bypass road that will ensure the diversion of heavy and transit transport outside the settlements of Slobozia Mare and Giurgiulesti. The total length of this section is 16.59 km, it will connect the road with the customs office in Giurgiulesti, the border with Romania. At this stage, the contractor has begun activities to organize the construction site and is carrying out mobilization work, equipping a laboratory and storing materials necessary for the work. The total contract value is 10 million 459 thousand 023.27 euros and is financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, with completion scheduled for March 2026.
