The Civil Aviation Authority has suspended Air Moldova's air operator certificate until October 31.
The statement from the Regional State Administration notes that this was done at the request of the operator, since the airline currently does not have a single aircraft with a valid airworthiness certificate. The only aircraft of Air Moldova is under maintenance and the work scheduled for April has not yet been completed. At the same time, the aircraft's airworthiness certificate expired on August 21. In the absence of a valid certificate of airworthiness attesting to the operability of the aircraft, an airline cannot hold an air operator's certificate. In connection with the cancellation of all Air Moldova flights, the Regional State Administration urges passengers to assert their rights, demanding that the air operator reimburse the cost of tickets. Requests and complaints should be directed to the airline, and then, in case of unsatisfactory results, to the Civil Aviation Authority.// 24.08.2023 — InfoMarket.
