The Ukrainian company LLC Automagistral Pivden will carry out the construction of a bypass road in Vulcanesti.
On Tuesday, the State Road Administration signed a contract with a Ukrainian contractor to carry out construction work on the M3 highway Chisinau-Comrat-Giurgiulești-border with Romania. The construction of the route with a length of more than 8 km is financed by a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in the amount of 21.2 million euros. The project includes works on the construction of embankments, sidewalks, construction of a bridge and driveway for agricultural machinery, as well as sewerage and drainage systems, etc. The contract signing ceremony was attended by Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Lilia Dabija and Head of the EBRD Office in Moldova Angela Sax. As Lilia Dabija noted, the conducted feasibility study showed the feasibility of this project. “Motor transport costs and travel time for road users from Moldova will be reduced, communication with the Giurgiulesti port will be improved; local roads will be freed from excessive traffic, and citizens will not have to endure the noise from heavy vehicles. The level of air pollution in the city will also decrease,” the minister stressed. Lilia Dabija noted that the Ukrainian company Automagistral Pivden was selected to perform the work based on the results of the tender. The company has previously participated in the rehabilitation of other roads in Moldova. Construction work is planned to be completed within 3 years. // 13.06.2023 — InfoMarket
