The State Roads Administration reported this, noting that during the visit, the territory was monitored for the relevant repair work carried out by the Ukrainian company LLC Automagistral Pivden. In particular, it carries out work on laying a protective layer, arranging sidewalks, strengthening slopes and protecting bridge foundations, building bridges, arranging entrances to facilities and installing street lighting. The project for the restoration of the named national road, which leads to the Giurgiulesti border crossing, is divided into 2 parts. In particular, repairs on the first section were completed at more than 73%, and on the second - over 30%. In particular, the project provides for the reconstruction of 54.4 km of the road network of the first section, which crosses the exit from the Comrat municipality, the villages of Chirsova, Congaz and Svetlîi in ATU Gagauzia, Balabanu, Aluatu and Chirilovca of the Taraclia district, as well as the construction of 31.1 km of a new road on the second section of the route, which passes through the settlements of Ciumai in the Taraclia district, Burlaceni in the Cahul district and the town of Vulcanesti in the ATU Gagauzia. The contract with LLC Automagistral Pivden for the reconstruction of these sites also includes the construction of 11 small bridges and more than 120 larger bridges, the improvement of access roads, the restoration of street lighting, the installation of more than 1,600 road signs and road markings. The total cost of the repair and construction of the M3 national road leading to the Giurgiulesti border crossing is more than 29 million euros, the money was provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development under the Road Sector Program.
