According to the State Administration of Highways, its head Veaceslav Potop inspected the progress of the repair work. The restoration of this road has been divided into two sections. The plot, which is being renovated, crosses the city of Hincesti, village Sarata-Galbena of the Hincesti district and the city of Leova, the settlements of Cneazevca, Sarateni, Sarata Noua, Hanasenii Noi, Leova district and the city of Cantemir. “The contractor is currently performing earthworks, deforestation and site preparation. We systematically check the progress of work on site and provide support to the contractor whenever our participation is necessary to eliminate any difficulties within a limited time frame, ”said Veaceslav Potop. According to him, improving traffic conditions on the national highway will provide infrastructure development, citizens' access to social institutions and flood protection measures in some settlements. The contract signed with OZKA Insaat at the end of February 2020 provides for the reconstruction of the existing road network, the repair of 9 bridges and 57 small bridges, the arrangement of public transport stops, and the restoration of street lighting in settlements. The contractor pledged to complete the work by the end of February 2023.
