Eleven regional museums joined the “Museums of the Future” program, and 18 received tablets to create creative content and animated guides
As reported by the Ministry of Culture, last week 18 national and regional museums from Moldova received tablets from Moldcell Foundation and sets of animated illustrations “Moldova in a postcard”, developed by the artists from Artcor Center, in order to attract a wider audience, including children and young people who like augmented art. These initiatives are part of the “Museums of the Future” program, which supports the digitalization of local museums, turning them into interactive, relevant and attractive spaces for visitors and tourists. Thus, Moldcell Foundation provided each museum with 1 tablet, and now 2 programs developed in Artcor together with local artists (“Untold stories of the city” and “Moldova in a postcard”) will be available in any of these museums through Artivive application. “Museums of the Future” is an initiative aimed at transforming cultural institutions in Moldova by integrating the latest technologies such as augmented reality and immersive experiences. The project connects museums with creative industries professionals, supporting the creation of innovative digital cultural content. The program, with a total budget of over $200 thousand, helps modernize museums, raise their profile and monetize the visitor experience. The initiative is implemented by Artcor and funded by USAID's Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Activity and the Future Technologies Activity (FTA), funded by USAID, Sweden and the United Kingdom, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Moldcell Foundation. //25.11.2024 - InfoMarket.
