The Open Air Museum has opened in Chisinau - a series of installations designed to attract interest in historical artifacts
The project unites a series of interactive installations and objects, which the authors created, inspired by small historical objects that are already exhibited in the National Museum of History. The exhibition installations resemble and repeat the sphero-conical vessels of the 14th century and ceramic figurines of distant times. Combining natural materials (wood, concrete, metal and resin), the authors created a play complex that allows awakening children's interest in culture and history. The installations are equipped with interactive elements, including beams of light, colored resin "windows", plant parts (leaves, seeds) and imitation fossils (shells). The Open Air Museum was created by industrial designer Mihail Stamati together with a team of designers and artists from several localities of the country. The authors reinterpreted valuable items of museum heritage, integrating them into kinetic installations. The aim is to promote innovative educational experiences that stimulate curiosity and creativity in visitors of all ages, bringing history and culture closer to the community through direct interaction and play. The installation will form part of a permanent open-air exhibition, providing visitors with an interactive experience every time they enter the museum courtyard. The initiative is part of the Museums of the Future programme and is supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Rural Competitiveness and Rural Sustainability project and the Future Technologies (FTA) project, which is funded by USAID, Sweden and the UK. // 08.11.2024 – InfoMarket.
