The histories of Moldovan estates are to be digitized and 9 of them will be united in a new tourist route
This activity is foreseen within the fourth edition of Artist Program, implemented by Artcor with the support of Moldcell Foundation and the project “Future Technologies Activities” (FTA), financed by USAID, Sweden and Great Britain. Within the program, students of the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts majoring in animation will “research, document and turn into art” the stories of 9 Moldovan estates. The young people will collaborate with local residents, museums, cultural centers, historians and will collect stories and legends related to the estates. Subsequently, all the stories of the estates will be processed and digitized and 9 estates will be united in an innovative tourist route. The program will create a digital map of the estates' locations, offering visitors a new cultural and interactive experience. The program will last until April 2025. It is worth mentioning that in Moldova, according to different data, there are from 47 to 78 manors built in the XVIII-XIX centuries. They belonged to wealthy citizens who, more often than not, contributed to the development of settlements. They built schools, hospitals, libraries and cultural institutions, developed agriculture and industry, etc. // 30.10.2024 - InfoMarket.
