The registration process on the platform compensatii.gov.md will be simplified, while the data provided by households will be more thoroughly checked - Ministry of Labor and Social Protection

This was announced by the State Secretary of the Ministry, Corina Ajder, on Radio Moldova radio station. According to her, starting from November 2024, as in the previous 2 years, Moldovan residents will be able to apply for compensation for gas, heating and electricity. So far, the exact parameters and conditions of this year's compensation program are at the stage of final approval, but the procedure will remain the same: citizens will have to register on the platform, enter their personal data and income information. Compensation will be provided to vulnerable categories of the population. Unlike in previous years, consumers who cannot apply online will be able to use the service of a mobile brigade. This year, according to Corina Ajder, fraud prevention measures will be strengthened to ensure that funds are spent as intended and efficiently as possible. One of the mandatory conditions, which will be checked more thoroughly, is the actual residence of the applicants at the address indicated in the application, so that the compensations will not be used by citizens who are outside Moldova. Let us remind you that the Ajutor la control (Help at the Meter) energy tariff compensation program was launched in 2022 to help citizens during the cold season. Compensations are provided for gas, heating and electricity, while households using wood or coal for heating receive cash compensations. The program is financed from the Energy Vulnerability Reduction Fund, which is also financed from the state budget and external aid. Last cold season, more than 790 thousand households received compensation. Over 2.5 billion lei were allocated for the implementation of the program. // 29.10.2024 – InfoMarket
