The government allocated 33.08 million lei to pay bonuses to 12 athletes who won prizes at the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games

The bonuses will also be paid to their coaches and medical staff. The government approved the relevant decree at a meeting on October 23, allocating the necessary amount from the Reserve Fund. In particular, freestyle wrestler Anastasia Nichita and judoka Ion Basoc, who won silver medals, as well as their coaches Andrei Chiperi and Oleg Cretul will receive 2.6 million lei each.
