A primary stroke center was opened in Edinet district hospital, and after renovation, an anesthesia and intensive care department was launched

According to the Ministry of Health, this is the 9th of 13 primary stroke centers that are planned to open in the regions of the country. It will serve Edinet, Ocnita, Briceni and Donduseni districts. The center is equipped with modern equipment for quick and accurate diagnosis of stroke: tomograph, ultrasound machine with Doppler of the heart and blood vessels, mobile electroencephalograph; Holter electrocardiograph, etc. Also, after a major overhaul, the hospital opened an anesthesia and intensive care department, equipped according to European standards. The renovation was carried out as part of the COVID-19 Emergency Response project, funded by the World Bank. The department will provide medical care to patients in critical condition, with neurological and surgical pathologies and diseases of the cardiovascular system. The Edinet hospital also received a digital X-ray machine worth about 3.6 million lei.
