A new project worth over 17.2 million lei will be implemented in northern Moldova to expand water supply networks and supply water to a number of villages
Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spinu announced this, noting that this is envisaged by the contract signed in Floresti for the expansion of water supply networks in order to supply water to the villages of Temeleuti, Cernita, Vascauti and Cosernita. The project will include the construction of almost 8 km of main water supply networks, a drinking water pumping station, reservoirs and wells. Upon completion of the works, more than 3,500 residents will receive quality water from the tap. The total cost of the project amounts to 17 million 206 thousand 996 lei, with the National Fund for Regional and Local Development contributing 90 per cent (15 million 486 thousand 296.4 lei). Andrei Spinu emphasized that last year, thanks to the project “Water for Life”, implemented by the “North” Regional Development Agency, the villages of Iliciovca, Sevirova, Ivanovca, Trifanesti, Alexandrovca and Izvoare were connected to the water supply system. As a result, 6,000 residents, 22 public institutions and 52 economic agents already receive drinking water from the Dniester. // 30.07.2024 - InfoMarket.
