Almost 720 thousand consumers have applied for energy compensation during the cold season with over 80% of them receiving high, very high and extreme categories of vulnerability.

This was announced by Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu during a briefing on Wednesday. He said that consumers, who registered on the website compensatii.gov.md until November 25, can already find out their energy vulnerability (EV) category. They can find out the EV category assigned to them in their personal cabinet, as well as by SMS, which the government will send in the coming days. According to Alexei Buzu, the system assigned a very high vulnerability category to 243.7 thousand consumers (33.9% of the total number of applications), high - 232.7 thousand (32%), extreme - 105.05 thousand (14.6%). At the same time, average EV - 77 thousand consumers (10.7%), low - 45.3 thousand (6.3%), primary - 12.6 thousand (1.8%). 2,905 households are invulnerable. A total of 261,468 consumers will receive a cash compensation of 800 lei. The minister said that the citizens who do not agree with the EV category assigned to them can appeal against this decision by calling 08000 500 or by submitting their arguments to the e-mail mailto:suport@compensatii.gov.md.
