
The Chisinau Mayor's office launched a new social service "Social housing with support".
The service is intended for children and youth of the capital left without parental care. Supported Social Housing is administered by the General Directorate for the Protection of Children's Rights and was developed with the support of UNICEF Moldova. The services of the new center can also be used by refugees aged 16 to 21 who have completed their stay in residential institutions. The beneficiaries of the service will receive: modern premises for temporary residence, full coverage of housing maintenance costs, provision of daily meals through free food cards, provision of essential goods, as well as support from qualified specialists in organizing various socialization activities to reduce injuries. Also, young people will receive vouchers worth 8,000 lei to buy clothes and shoes. So far, the center can provide assistance to 24 people. They will be provided with didactic materials for a specialized educational process.
