Moldovan government updated the indexation coefficients of pensions and coefficients of valorization of insured income for 2022.

Moldovan government updated the indexation coefficients of pensions and coefficients of valorization of insured income for 2022.

In particular, the coefficients for the valorization of insured income were approved based on the size of the average wage in the economy in 2022 (10,529.1 lei). According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the average monthly salary in 2022 increased in nominal terms by 15.5% compared to 2021. Also, the cumulative indexation coefficients of pension indexation for the years 1999-2023 were updated, based on the indexation coefficient of 15%, based on the growth of own revenues of the state insurance budget in 2022 (+15% compared to 2021). The cumulative indexation coefficient is updated and approved by government decree at each indexation. These parameters will be applied when calculating pensions starting April 1. For the application of valorization coefficients when establishing old age pensions, starting from April, it will be required 56.1 million lei and for disability pensions - 8.4 million lei. Cumulative indexation coefficients will require 7.6 million lei. To remind, last week, the government approved a decision on spring indexation of pensions and allowances by 15%, in accordance with the growth of own revenues of the state insurance budget, departing from the current norms, which stipulate annual indexation in accordance with inflation growth). // 29.03.2023 - InfoMarket
