Young medical workers and pharmacists working on assignment in the country's villages will receive a lump sum allowance in full, six months after the start of activity.

The government made such changes in the provision of benefits for young professionals with medical and pharmaceutical education. At present, the lump allowance worth 120,000 lei for doctors and pharmacists and 96,000 lei for medical personnel and pharmacists with professional education is paid in three installments, of 40,000 lei and 32,000 lei respectively, after the first month of activity and after every year of work. At the same time, it is foreseen that these payments are maintained if the young specialist is transferred to work in another institution within 3 years. If a specialist is transferred from an institution where he/she was not entitled to the above-mentioned allowance to a medical institution in a rural area, the benefit is granted in proportion to the time worked, until the expiration of the 3-year period. In 2022, 75 young physicians and 150 medical colleges’ graduates were employed. The full amount of the allowance for them will require about 9 million lei and, respectively, 9.6 million lei. // 15.03.2023 – InfoMarket
