According to the government's decision, scholarships for pupils of republican boarding lyceums with an artistic profile and talented students of grades IV-IX of the National Choreographic College will amount to: 475 lei instead of the current 410 lei for I category (II-IV classes), 695 instead of 600 lei (for V-IX classes), 890 instead of 770 lei (for X-XII classes); for II category (for V-IX classes) 590 lei (no change) and 740 instead of 640 lei (for X-XII classes); and for III category (for X-XII classes) 670 instead of 580 lei. The special scholarship is approved in the amount of 695 lei instead of the present 600 lei. Scholarships for secondary vocational students, excluding students in groups for the deaf and hearing impaired, are: category I - 685 instead of 590 lei per month; category II - 575 instead of 495 lei per month; category III - 485 instead of 420 lei per month. Vocational students are entitled to a scholarship only if they have no debts in the subjects and if they have no more than 40 unexcused absences during the semester. Secondary vocational students enrolled in groups for the deaf and hearing impaired will receive 520 instead of 450 lei per month. Scholarships for students in higher education (first and second cycles) have been approved in the following amounts: I category - 1170 instead of 1010 lei; II category - 1000 instead of 865 lei; III category - 915 instead of 790 lei. The monthly social scholarship was approved in the amount of 695 lei instead of the present 535 lei. Also, the government has approved scholarships for doctoral students from the first year of studies, enrolled immediately after graduation and with less than 3 years of work experience - 1660 lei instead of the present 1330 lei per month. For second-year doctoral students, enrolled immediately after graduation and with less than 3 years of work experience - 1820 lei instead of current 1470 lei per month. For third-year doctoral students - 1990 instead of 1520 lei per month. Scholarships for first year resident physicians are approved at 1540 lei (now 1330 lei per month); second and third year - 1700 instead of 1470 lei per month; fourth and fifth year - 1760 instead of 1520 lei per month. Postdoctoral students working on a doctoral dissertation will receive a stipend in the amount of the average salary received before entering the postdoctoral program, but not more than the average monthly wage in the economy for the previous year. "The Moldovan President's Scholarship" is approved at 1845 instead of 1235 lei per month. "Gaudeamus Scholarship" is approved at 1230 instead of 1060 lei per month.
