Alternative child care services on the basis of a patent to be allowed in Moldova.
This is provided for by the amendments to the Law on entrepreneurial patent, adopted by the Parliament during the second reading in order to adjust the legal framework to the requirements of the Law on alternative child care services. In particular, two new types of alternative child care are introduced: individualized child care services and family-type child care services. These activities can be carried out on the basis of an entrepreneurial patent. Thus, the bill aims to legalize the activity of a qualified caregiver of children under the age of 3 years. Taking into account the need to ensure the safety of children, additional requirements specific to the issuance and suspension or revocation of licenses for relevant activities are proposed. According to the authors, the application of the new law will allow to avoid "salaries in an envelope" when paying persons providing alternative child care services. In addition, the new structure will provide opportunities for health and social insurance for caregivers by introducing a simple, affordable, and attractive tax regime. Mandatorily, the project takes into account the need to provide a safe environment for child care beneficiaries. // 03.03.2023 - InfoMarket.
