More than 350 Moldovan wines will be presented at the XVIIIth Wine Vernissage, which will take place on December 9 in Chisinau, after a 2-year break.

The event is organized by the National Bureau of Vine and Wine with the support of USAID in Moldova as part of the Rural Competitiveness and Sustainability in Moldova project. More than 70 wineries will take part in the Wine Vernissage this year, 30 of which are small wine producers. Also at the event will be organized the "Salon of Divins" dedicated to wine distillates - more than 10 producers from all over the country will present dozens of wine distillates aged up to 50 years and hold short tastings for lovers of fine wines. The organizers inform that all visitors of the Vernissage will receive a glass with the Wine of Moldova logo, specially created for wine tasting. The event will feature a photo gallery of golden generations and young talents who have been a source of strength and innovation for the art of viticulture over the years. Visitors will be able to learn their stories and taste their wine masterpieces, many of which have been awarded in national and international competitions. In honor of the anniversary of the Vernissage, the most skilled winemakers will receive awards and prizes. “The Wine Vernissage is a great opportunity to communicate and get to know those who produce and support Moldovan wine. We want to attract as many young people as possible, wine ambassadors, friends and make the products of national pride as well known as possible. We want to continue the tradition of the vernissage, bring art closer to people, continue to promote and support it,” said Diana Lazar, director of the tourism and wine industry of the Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Project in Moldova. She stressed that the project she is presenting will support the development of the agricultural and wine sectors in order to stimulate the economic and sustainable growth of the country. The organizers also draw attention to the fact that this year the Wine Vernissage will support artists and musicians: given that 2022 has been declared the Cultural Year of Eugen Doga, the event will be held in honor of the composer, and part of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the music school named after E. Doga. The money will be used to prepare an accordion ensemble and purchase musical instruments. The ticket for the event costs 250 lei. Wine Vernissage is a unique event dedicated to the promotion of wine culture and the consumption of quality wines, which is held under the auspices of the national brand Vinul Moldovei. Living legend. The event was first organized in 2011 and traditionally takes place twice a year, in spring and winter. Over 18 years, 75 winemakers presented more than 4,500 wines, and Moldovan wines were appreciated by about 18,000 visitors.// 08.12.2022 — InfoMarket
